Tolman got an episode of guest-starring as romance novelist Abby Berman on The Mindy program the following year. The year 2015 was the last time she starred as a supporting role in Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. Tolman turned down several parts in the supporting roles such as best friends, parents, spouses and even husbands after her breakthrough role on Fargo. She was looking for a unique role.
